Description
This boundary stone, dating from the late 18th century, is located approximately 1,030 metres north-east of Skelderskew Farmhouse. It is made of roughly-dressed limestone and has a tapered shape, measuring about 38 cm by 25 cm at the base and standing 84 cm tall. The south face of the stone is inscribed with the letters 'RC'. It marks the boundary between the parishes of Lockwood and Commondale, as well as the counties of Cleveland and North Yorkshire.
