Description
The building consists of a barn, coachhouse, and stables located to the north-west of Danby Lodge. The barn dates from the late 18th century, while the coachhouse and stables were built in the early 19th century. The structure is made of coursed squared tooled stone and features Welsh slate roofs with stone copings.
The barn is two storeys tall and has a double door positioned to the right of centre, along with two boarded loft doors. It has a fairly high pitched roof and a raised terrace in front, with vent slits on the left side. The coachhouse, also two storeys, includes three round-arched openings that hold boarded double doors, and above these are three small part-slatted windows with projecting cills. To the right, there is a one-storey stable that has two Dutch doors flanked by two similar windows.
The rear extensions of the building are not of interest.
