Description
South Lodge with adjoining wall and gate piers is a lodge and drive entrance built in the mid 19th century. It is constructed from coursed squared stone with raised quoins that extend up the gable ends. The roof is renewed pantiled, featuring stone copings and projecting stone end chimneys. The building is L-shaped, with one and a half storeys and two bays. It has casement windows with interlaced bars at the heads and a small gabled porch. To the left, a stone wall with a flat coping leads to four gate piers, two of which have been rebuilt and feature seated lions.
