Description

The stable building to the north of Mulgrave Castle was constructed in 1787 by Sir John Soane and features castellated elements likely added in the early 19th century. It is built from coursed squared stone and has hipped roofs made of Lakeland slate. The main block consists of two storeys and has 11 bays, with a central entrance arch. Flanking the main block are one-storey, three-bay projecting side wings, and there is a central clock tower.
