Description
The length of the north Abbey Precinct wall, located 180 meters north of Shireburn House in the Beaulieu Manor Estate, dates back to the late 13th century. This wall is constructed of rubble stone and measures approximately 40 meters in length and 3 meters in height. It features a coping made of a course of flat slabs followed by inclined stones. There are put-log holes at regular intervals along the wall. This section of the wall is a fairly intact part of the Abbey Precinct and is recognized as a Scheduled Ancient Monument.
