Description
The length of the south Abbey Precinct wall, located east of the entrance to Palace House, is a significant structure from the late 13th century. It is constructed of rubble stone with stone coping. The wall runs along the roadside for 90 meters, standing at a full height of 3 meters. A stone bus shelter has been built in front of it. The wall changes direction slightly in the middle and then continues at a reduced height of about 1 meter for an additional 20 meters. The full-height section features gabled coping made of inclined stones.
