4/12 Rookhowe farmhouse 12/2/62 and attached, stable, byres barn and WC

Farmhouse, stable with hayloft over, byre and WC attached to left; to right byre with hayloft and barn with threshing floor attached at right angles. Late C17 or early C18 with later alterations including raising house roof and extension to rear of house. Extension to rear of outbuildings to right dated 1860. House limewashed roughcast render over stone rubble, outbuildings stone rubble. Graduated green slate roof, stone ridge, one end chimney. Small shelter shed to front of byre to left roofed with corrugated asbestos. 2 storeys. 3 windows. Ground floor has early C19 fixed light with single opening pane, late C19 casement to right, 2 C19 casements to left, one of which is probably enlarged fire window. Gabled stone porch with roof of large slates, side benches, top glazed and panelled door. Interior has chamfered beams, chamfered joists in hall, flag floors, fire beam. WC is 2-seater.
