Description

Lorton Park Cottage is an early 19th-century cottage located in Lorton. It features painted roughcast walls set on a chamfered plinth, topped with a graduated greenslate roof that has ornamental ridge tiles and offset brick chimney stacks. The cottage is two storeys high and consists of three bays, with a carriage archway on the right side under a common roof. There are two panelled doors situated in open stucco porches, which have plain bargeboards and finials. The windows are casement style, some of which include glazing bars, and are framed in painted chamfered surrounds beneath hoodmoulds. Additionally, there are double plank carriage doors set in a segmental quoined surround. The cottage has group value with the adjoining Lorton Park.
