Description
This is a barn located opposite Miresykes Farmhouse, dating from the early 18th century with later extensions. The barn features roughcast slate rubble walls topped with corrugated asbestos roofs. It is a single-storey structure with a lower extension on the right and a higher byre extension also on the right. There is a large projecting cart entrance and a plank door on the left. The upper left side has pigeon holes with projecting slate shelves. The right extension includes a full-height doorway opening, which is separated by a slate shelf, and a similar doorway that is now partly blocked, leaving a loft opening. There are small openings on the right side as well. The left extension has a loft doorway opening and a small opening with a chamfered surround. The left return wall also features pigeon holes with slate shelves. Inside, there are indications that the roof has been raised in height. This barn is listed for its group value with Miresykes Farmhouse.
