Description
High Greengate and Cottage is a guest-house and house built in the 18th century, with early 19th-century alterations and additions. The building is constructed of roughcast stone and features a slate roof. It stands two storeys tall and has six bays, with the last two bays forming the cottage. The windows are sashed with glazing bars, except for the fourth bay on the ground floor, which has a small-paned casement, and the last two bays, which have casement windows. There are gabled porches at the entrances to the third and fifth bays. The building includes a gable-end stack and three cross-axial stacks. The right side has a two-storey canted bay window, and the rear features a gabled range. This property is included for its group value.
