Description
Parks Farmhouse and attached outbuildings is a farmhouse and barn dating from the late 17th century or early 18th century. The building features roughcast stone rubble walls with protruding through stones and has a graduated slate roof. There is a rendered stone chimney on the left side. The structure is two storeys high with three windows that are irregularly spaced; one is a 20th-century casement, while the others are 19th-century one-bar casements. The central entrance has a 20th-century half-glazed door. To the left, there is a lower stable with a granary above, which has a boarded door and an early small-paned fixed light. On the right, there is a higher barn with a cart entrance and a single boarded door. Inside, the building features heavy chamfered beams and joists. This is an early example of the Laithe House type.
