SD 49 SE UNDERBARROW AND BRADLEYFIELD 1/41 Parks Farmhouse and attached outbuildings

Farmhouse and barn. Late C17 or early C18. Roughcast stone rubble walls with protruding through stones. Graduated slate roof. Rendered stone chimney to left. 2 storeys. 3 windows irregularly spaced. 1 C20 casement, the rest C19 1-bar casements. Central C20 half glazed door. At left a lower stable with granary over; boarded door and early small paned fixed light. To right higher barn with cart entrance and single door both boarded. Interior has heavy chamfered beams and joists. Early example of Laithe House type. See also RCHM p.231.
