Description
The Queen's Head Public House is a building that may date back to the 17th century or early 18th century, although it has undergone significant alterations. It features a roughcast exterior, with the front designed to resemble timber framing using stucco, and has a slate roof. The structure is two stories high and consists of three bays. On the ground floor, there is a window with paired sashes and a low, wide sashed window that has vertical glazing bars and horns. The first floor includes sashed windows with glazing bars. The entrance is centrally located, and there are gable-end stacks. The left side of the building has three sashed windows with glazing bars and one casement window, while the right side has two casement windows. A rear wing facing Victoria Street is a later addition and is not of special interest. Inside, the building features chamfered beams. It is included in the register for its group value.
