Description
Blakebeck and adjoining barns are a farmhouse and barns dated 1708, as inscribed on a stone built into the front wall, with 19th-century alterations. The building features painted rendered walls beneath a graduated greenslate roof, with 20th-century brick chimney stacks. It is two storeys high and consists of four bays, flanked by barns. There is a 20th-century door set in a painted stone surround. The sash windows, including a double window to the left of the entrance, are all framed in painted stone surrounds. The barn to the left has an entrance with a painted stone surround and a loft above, along with a small opening to the right of the entrance. The barn to the right has a blank front wall with an open gable end. Additional barns to the left are not of interest.
