Description

Southerfell Cottage is a house dating from the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed from coursed mixed slate rubble and features a limestone eaves cornice and V-jointed quoins. The roof is made of graduated greenslate and has a rendered chimney stack. The building has two storeys and three bays. The front entrance consists of a 20th-century door set in a limestone surround, topped with a panel frieze and a dentilled pediment. The windows are sash style with glazing bars, also set in limestone surrounds. There is a 20th-century porch to the right, which is not of particular interest.
