Description

Southerfell Farmhouse is a former farmhouse dated 1666, with significant alterations made in the early 19th century. The building features painted roughcast walls and a sandstone eaves cornice, topped by a graduated greenslate roof with a rendered chimney stack. It is two storeys high and consists of three bays. The entrance has a 20th-century door and sash windows set within 19th-century painted stone surrounds, with a small window located to the left of the entrance. The farmhouse is included for its group value with the adjoining Southerfell Cottage on the right.
