Description
John Peel Farm is a farmhouse that has been converted into a private house, likely dating from the early 18th century. It features whitewashed rendered walls over a mix of limestone rubble, with painted angle pilasters. The roof is made of graduated greenslate and has a stone chimney stack. The building is two storeys high and consists of two bays. It has 20th-century casement windows that are set in original chamfered surrounds, with the ground floor right window in a 19th-century surround. The entrance on the right side has a 20th-century door within an original painted chamfered surround. Inside, there is a beamed ceiling on the ground floor and stone stairs leading from the kitchen to the bedrooms. This farmhouse is included for its group value with John Peel Cottage and its historical connections to John Peel.
