Description

BROUGHTON EAST FIELD BROUGHTON SD 38 SE 2/9 Pound on common 25.3.70 approx 60m from road (formerly listed as Village Pound) II Pound. Probably C18. Stone rubble. Oval plan enclosure approx 8m x 11m. Walls approx 2m high, with limestone coping. Opening to south-west has limestone quoins and one stone gate post. Used until 1796, when the common land was enclosed.
