Description

The Church of All Saints, built in 1869 on the site of an earlier church, is a Grade II listed building. It features a Free Early English style with a polygonal apse and an octagonal tower above the doorway. The walls are constructed of rubble, finished with limestone and sandstone quoins and dressings, and the windows have slate voussoirs. The slate roof is topped with a stone ridge. The tower is divided into three stages and is crowned by a small spire with a weathercock. The doorway has a pointed arch adorned with dog-tooth moulding, supported by two red sandstone columns. The windows display a variety of Early English styles, complete with label moulds and end stops, some featuring carved heads. The west window includes a six-pointed star. The interior is simple and lacks aisles, featuring a barrel vaulted ceiling, pitch pine pews, a font, and a pulpit, all dating from the 19th century.
