Description
Tranthwaite Hall Farmhouse is a 17th-century house with 19th-century alterations and an extension to the south. It features stone rubble walls and a graduated slate roof, standing two storeys tall. The north elevation has three horizontal sliding sash windows with glazing bars, set under timber lintels, along with a 20th-century window on the ground floor. The upper floor includes three paired sash windows and one single sash window. On the south side, there is an oak door, likely original, situated inside a lean-to porch. The very thick end wall is said to contain the original stair and fireplace.
