Description

Nook Cottage is a 17th-century cottage, with a datestone of 1629 reset on a porch that is believed to be a 20th-century addition. The cottage has rubble walls, finished with a whitewash, and a slate roof with a stone ridge and stone end chimneys featuring slate drip stones; the left hand chimney is round. The cottage is two storeys high, with a central entrance door featuring studs. There is a casement window to the left and a six-pane sash window to the right. Above, there is a small casement window and a four-pane sash window. The interior includes old panelling, reportedly added around 1949.
