Description

Beech Cottages are four houses built in the early 18th century. They feature whitewashed sandstone rubble walls topped with a graduated greenslate roof and have 18th and 20th century brick chimney stacks. The cottages are two storeys high, with each house consisting of a single bay under a common roof. They have panelled doors set in painted stone surrounds. The windows include both sash and casement styles, all within original painted surrounds; the windows on the right are enlarged sashes with glazing bars, set in 19th century painted stone surrounds. These cottages are included partly for their group value with Berkeley House and Berkeley Cottage.
