Description

Hall Santon farmhouse was likely built in the mid to late 18th century, with additional wings added around 1830, as indicated by the date on the rear door lintel of the north wing. The original farmhouse is faced with incised stucco and has rusticated quoins. The wings are wet-dashed and feature corner pilasters. The roof is covered in graduated slate, with a stone ridge and corniced stone chimneys. The farmhouse is two storeys high and five bays wide, arranged as a 1:3:1 pattern. The central bay contains a glazed door flanked by sash windows on both floors; the ground floor sashes have 16 panes. The right-hand wing has a glazed door with a sash window and a 20th-century casement window above. The left-hand wing contains a 20th-century casement window above a sash window. All openings are framed by stone surrounds. The building is listed primarily for its group value.
