Description

Chypleighs is an early 19th-century cottage located on the south side of Rosemary Lane in Dulverton. The exterior is roughcast over rubble, with a shallow-pitched slate roof and stone stacks at the gable ends. The building follows a two-cell and cross-passage plan, with an outbuilding returning from the west gable. It has two storeys and three bays, featuring pointed arch Gothick casements with divided tracery heads. A pointed arch doorway provides access to the central entrance, with a plank door. An adjoining outbuilding is clad in weatherboard and has a slate roof, while a corrugated iron-roofed loft extends over a coachhouse, with a two-light window.
