Description

The Greenway is a house that underwent refronting and enlargement in the late 18th to early 19th century, built over an earlier dwelling. It features a rendered exterior over rubble and a hipped West Somerset slate roof, with a wooden cornice and a 20th-century brick stack rising from the eaves on the right side, along with a large lateral stack on the rear elevation that is concealed by later additions. The building is L-shaped and faces south-southwest, containing a hall and staircase.

The south front has two storeys and five bays. The first floor has 12-pane sash windows, while the ground floor features 15-pane sashes that extend to floor level. There is a central semi-circular headed doorway with panelled reveals and a fanlight with radiating bars, leading to a 12-pane door. An early 20th-century glazed verandah fronts the central three bays. On the left return, the main entrance includes a semi-circular headed 12-pane window on the first floor above the entrance, and a ground floor right C20 cruciform wooden window. The entrance itself has a semi-circular headed doorway with panelled reveals, a fanlight with radiating bars, a panelled door, and a flat-roofed columnar wooden porch.

The interior is partially visible, featuring panelled shutters on the windows, a stick stair with a cut string in the hall, and a segmental headed doorway with a fanlight leading to a corridor.
