Description
Kitnor's is a cottage located in Bossington, dating back to the 16th century, with alterations and enlargements made in the 19th century and mid-20th century. The building features slobbered rubble construction and a thatched roof, which extends as a catslide on the right side over an outshut addition. It has a lateral stack with a rebuilt circular stack to the left of the entrance, and a rebuilt circular stone stack at the original gable end, along with a brick stack at the left gable end.
The plan consists of three cells and a cross passage, extended to the right with a stable and outshut. The cottage is one and a half storeys high, with two and three-light late 19th-century casement windows. A dormer rises from the eaves, flanking the lateral stack. The ground floor end bay on the left is set back, with a window to the left of the stack and an entrance in a recess to the right. Beyond the entrance is a window and a stable-type door, featuring a wooden lintel with a chamfered pointed arch door frame below, and spandrels filled with 20th-century glass, along with a plank door. The interior has not been seen.
