Description

Nos 3 and 4 are a pair of semi-detached cottages dating from the early 19th century. They are constructed from slobbered rubble and feature a thatched roof that is hipped to the left. The right gable end has roughcast stacks, and there is a rebuilt circular stack rising from the left corner, with a similar stack at the rear. The plan consists of two cells, and the cottages are one and a half storeys high with a layout of 1:3 bays. The first floor has early 19th-century 3-light leaded iron casements, while the ground floor includes a 20th-century 3-light window to the left of a double porch. To the right, there are two 3-light casements with a single-storey stepped buttress beyond. The double Roman tiled pentice porch features semi-circular headed openings and plank doors.
