Description
Woodadvent Farmhouse is a farmhouse built around 1820 on the site of an earlier dwelling for Sir John Trevelyan. The exterior is rendered over rubble with double span slate roofs and slate hung gable ends, featuring brick stacks at the gable ends. The building has a double pile design with lower single bay wings. It stands two storeys tall with three bays, showcasing 12 pane sash windows and tripartite windows in segmental-headed openings in the outer bays. The central entrance has a pedimented doorcase with a 20th-century glazed door. The lower wings have monopitch roofs and blind niches, which are lit on the returns. Although the interior was not viewed, historical references indicate that the house at Woodadvent was referred to as the Manor House in 1523, and a survey from 1619 suggests it was quite extensive.
