Description

The New Bridge, located at SS 7450 3115, is a bridge likely built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It features coursed stone rubble and has a single segmental arch made with dressed voussoirs and a keystone. The bridge is supported by square buttresses on either side and has curved retaining walls at both ends. It spans the River Mole and was probably constructed to enhance communication between the former copper mines near Heasley Mill and North Molton.
