Description
Mole Bridge is a bridge located in North Molton, likely dating from the 17th century, with some alterations made in the late 20th century. It is constructed from coursed stone rubble, featuring dressed-stone voussoirs and cutwaters. The bridge has a shallow humped-back design and spans three round arches, each with dressed-stone arch rings and triangular cutwaters on the piers at either side. The original parapet was demolished in the 20th century and replaced with wooden railings. The bridge has curved abutments that retain the parapets. It carries the North Molton - Withypool road over the River Mole, situated at the end of East Street.
