Description
This is a bank barn located approximately 20 meters south-south-west of Wingstone Farmhouse, dating from the early to mid-19th century. It is constructed from granite rubble, featuring dressed granite quoins and arches at the openings. The barn has a galvanized steel roof with hipped ends. The ground floor contains a shippon, while the barn is situated above, with access from the opposite, higher side. On the north side, there are two barn doorways with segmental dressed arches and jambs. The south side has four shippon doorways, also with dressed granite arches and jambs, along with two slightly wider loading doors above. Both facades are symmetrical, and there is an owl hole in each end wall. Inside, the original pegged roof remains intact, supported by four tie-beams below the wall plate level.
