Description
The road bridge over the River Bovey, located east-south-east of Fairbrook Cottage, is likely from the 17th century and was altered in the 19th century. It is constructed from granite rubble, featuring dressed granite coping stones and chamfered dressed stones on the original arch. A segmental voussoir dressed stone arch has been inserted beneath the original arch. The parapets have curved top coping stones and are raised to a crank at the center. On the north-west side, the parapets connect to widening abutment walls, which have roughly dressed coping stones on the south-west side, while the north-east side displays stones laid alternately on edge and flat.
