NORTH BOVEY SX 78 SW 4/238 Road bridge over tributary brook - of River Bovey at grid ref no. 741836

Road bridge over small brook. Circa mid C19. Granite rubble with squared and chamfered coping stones and moulded string-course above dressed voussoir arch. The coping stones return at each end of the cambered parapets. Shallow segmental voussoir arch with cambered string-course above. Low granite rubble wall extends either side of both parapets with large roughly dressed coping stone approximately 5 metres to south-east and to north-west. The walls extend as far as adjoining bridge at grid ref. 740836 (q.v.) with refuge for pedestrians approximately 1/3 of the way along on the south-west side.
