Description

Jurston Bridge is a road bridge over the River Bovey, dating from the early to mid 19th century. It is constructed of granite rubble with granite ashlar voussoirs. The bridge features a single span with a plain vault that forms a low segmental arch, which is also made of granite ashlar voussoirs and includes a slightly projecting keystone. There are no drip courses or terminal piers. The parapet follows the line of the road, rising to the center, and is topped with roughly dressed flat coping stones.
