Description

This building is a stable and cart shed with a granary above, located approximately 25 metres west-north-west of Wingstone Farmhouse. It dates from the early to mid-19th century and is constructed of granite rubble with dressed granite quoins and arches. The roof is made of dry slate and features gable ends. The building has a rectangular plan and stands two storeys tall.

On the south front, there is a cart shed entrance to the right and a stable doorway in the centre of the ground floor. The first floor has a 2-light window at the centre, with four brick-lined pigeon holes arranged in a row to the right. The east gable end includes a first-floor doorway with a segmental arch; the stairs to this doorway have been removed, suggesting that it was likely accessed by a ladder, as it is adjacent to the farm drive.
