Description

A county bridge stone, dating from the early 19th century, is set into the garden wall of Ponsworthy House, located about 5 metres northeast of its south gate. This wedge-shaped granite stone features the letter C carved on its face. It marks the boundary of the roadway that was originally maintained by the County on this side of Ponsworthy Bridge.
