Description

This is a headstone dated 1758 for Abraham Pidler, located approximately 2 meters west of the tower of the Church of St Thomas in Sourton. It is made of slate and features a decorative carved border, with a winged angel's head carved in relief at the top, which has a damaged edge. The headstone includes a rhyming epitaph below the inscription, presented in upper and lower case letters with serifs.
