Description
This is an outbuilding located immediately to the west of Palmer's Farmhouse, dating from the late 17th century. It may have originally served as a cart shed or cattle shelter. The structure features stone rubble walls with some cob at the top and a gable-ended corrugated iron roof. It has a rectangular plan, consisting of a two-bay open fronted cattle shelter or cart shed on the left and an enclosed animal house or store on the right, with a later outshut added against that end. The building is single storey, with the left side having a two-bay open front supported by three granite posts, while the right-hand end is enclosed and includes a doorway. There is also a lean-to built against the right-hand gable end.
