Description
No. 24 North Street is a house with a shop that dates back to the 18th century and was remodeled in the early 19th century, with a late 19th-century shop front. The upper storeys are slate-hung, likely built with timber framing, and the slates were renewed in Delabole in the late 20th century. The building has a slated roof and stands three storeys high with a single window width. The shop front is flanked by pilasters, and above them are carved, bracketed blocks that serve as terminals for the blind-case. There are two display windows that are canted towards the recessed, half-glazed double doors featuring moulded bottom panels. On the second storey, there is a triple-sashed window with six panes in the centre and two on each side. The third storey has an eight-paned sash window. The building is finished with a coved eaves-cornice.
