Description
15 North Street is a house that has been converted into offices and shops. It dates from the early 19th century. The front is rendered to imitate masonry, while the upper storeys are likely timber-framed. The rear wall is slate-hung, and the building has a slated roof with rendered chimneys on each gable end.
The structure has three storeys and is four windows wide. The doorway is off-centre to the right and features panelled double doors, side-lights, and a fanlight with radial bars. On either side of the doorway are triple-sashed windows, with a 6-paned window in the centre and 2-paned windows on the outside. There is a late 20th-century doorway at the left-hand end. Above the ground storey, there is a long fascia with a moulded frame, which was probably intended to carry an inscription.
The upper storey windows have barred sashes in moulded flush frames, with 6 over 6 panes on the second storey and 3 over 6 panes on the third storey. The building features a boxed eaves-cornice and has 6-paned sashes in the rear wall.
