Description
This is a house located at 15 St Lawrence Lane in Ashburton, dating from the early to mid 19th century. The front and left side walls are rendered, with the front designed to imitate masonry, while the right side wall features slate-hanging. The roof is hipped and slated. There is a large rendered chimney on the rear wall and a small red-brick chimney on the left side wall. The house has three storeys and is two windows wide, but only has one window on the ground storey, with a doorway to the right. The windows have bracketed sills, with 2-paned sashes on the ground and second storeys, and small-paned casements with transom-lights on the third storey. There are raised bands above the ground and second storeys, and a boxed eaves-cornice that extends around both sides of the building.
