Description
This barn, located approximately 6 metres south-west of Great Houndtor Farmhouse, was likely built in the late 18th century. It features granite rubble walls and a gabled corrugated iron roof at both ends. The barn has a rectangular single-room layout with a threshing floor positioned to the left of the center, accessible through opposing double doorways. There are two stone outshuts attached to the north-east face on either side of the doorway. The structure is single-storey, and the south-west facade includes a tall double doorway with a timber lintel to the left of the center, along with a similar opposing doorway. The south-east gable end is reinforced with a large stone buttress and has an owl hole near the top of the gable. The roof was replaced in the 20th century and is metal bolted.
