Description
Pound Farm is a detached farmhouse built in the early to mid-19th century. It features a brick structure with a combination of a concrete pantile roof and a red tile roof. The building has a rectangular plan, with extensions at the right gable end and at the rear. The main section is 2 and a half storeys high and consists of three bays.
On the ground and first floors, there are two 16-pane sash windows with decorative triple keystones. A 20th-century five-panel door is located at the lower right, sheltered by a gabled canopy. The left gable end is also lit by a 16-pane sash window. There is a blocked window that has a gauged brick head, painted to resemble a second-floor 4-pane window, and an attic that is lit by a 2-light casement window, which also features a gauged head.
To the right, there is a 1 and a half storey extension with a forward-facing gable, which is illuminated by three 16-pane sashes on the left side. The eaves of the main body display sawtooth brickwork, and there is a decorative bargeboard on the forward-facing gable of the left extension. The farmhouse has an axial stack and a twin diagonal stack located below the ridge at the right gable end of the main body.
