Description

This is a house dating from the mid to late 18th century. It is constructed of limestone ashlar with a plinth, four moulded pilaster strips, a cornice, a parapet, and ashlar gables. The roof is covered in concrete tiles, with the right gable coped, and features stone stacks raised in brick. The house has two storeys, a cellar, and an attic. It has three window bays, though the central bays are blind. There are two small gabled dormers with sash windows containing glazing bars, positioned over the sashes that open onto the cellar on the right side of the building. A six-paned, part-glazed door is set centrally and leads up four steps. The house represents a more sophisticated classical style of architecture within a context of vernacular buildings.
