Description
No. 57 North Street is a house that likely dates from the 17th century but was significantly altered in the 19th century. It is constructed from limestone with an ashlar plinth, a plain string course at the first floor, and a moulded cornice at the eaves. The roof is made of stone slate and features a coped gable with a brick stack on the left side. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a two-windowed facade. There are wide spaced late 19th-century glazed dormers above two-light flush chamfered-mullion casements. At the first floor, there is a small 17th-century oval oculus set in a moulded panel, positioned above a late 20th-century door.
