Description
Hailes Abbey is the ruin of a Cistercian Abbey, dating from the mid-13th century, with additional elements from the 15th and 16th centuries. The structure is built from rubble and ashlar stone. It includes parts of the cloister walls and various lower walls of the east, south, and west ranges surrounding the cloisters. The site is owned by the National Trust and is under the guardianship of Historic Buildings and Monuments Commission; it is designated as an Ancient Monument in Gloucestershire, numbered 74.
