Description

This is an upright chest tomb from 1836, located approximately 12 metres east of the Abbey Churchyard gates in Tewkesbury. It is made of sandstone and features a flat ledger slab with cavetto edges, circular end panels adorned with floral decorations, and raised long panels. The tomb stands on a cavetto base and a wide platform, which was formerly enclosed by railings. Although it is very worn, the date 1836 can still be seen, along with the end of a name that reads "....ERS."
