Description

The Tower House is a former lodge, dated and initialled 'C / W / 18 / 01', with 20th-century extensions. It is constructed from coursed squared and dressed limestone with rusticated quoins, while the extensions are made of concrete block and feature a flat roof. The building has a square plan and stands two storeys tall, with 20th-century extensions on the north and south sides. The roadside front includes two 2-light stone-mullioned casement windows with Tudor-arched heads and stopped hoods on the ground floor, and two similar windows on the first floor, separated by a band. A double and single-width doorway was added to the right-hand return during the 20th century, and there is a dated and initialled quatrefoil on the first floor. The building is topped with a battlemented parapet over a moulded cornice. The interior has not been inspected.
