Description
The cider house, located approximately 90 metres southwest of The Manor House, dates from the mid to late 19th century and is situated on the edge of an orchard. It is constructed of red brick and features a slate roof with a rectangular plan and a single storey. The south side, which faces the orchard, has a wide plank door, with a 2-light casement window with a heavy-pegged frame to the right and a similar 2-light casement window on the left-hand return. The roof is hipped. Inside, there is a circular stone apple crusher with a yoke and a cider press, making this building a rare example of structures and machinery related to an industry that was once common in the area.
