Description
Forge Cottage is a 17th-century cottage featuring square-panelled timber framing with brick infill and some random squared and dressed limestone infill. The right gable end is constructed of coursed squared and dressed limestone, topped with a concrete tile roof and a red brick stack. The building has a 'T'-shaped plan and stands at 1½ storeys. The roadside front has a gable that projects forwards to the left. There is a 20th-century three-light casement window on the ground floor of the main body, along with a 20th-century three-light eaves dormer that has a weatherboarded gable at the eaves. Additionally, there is a 20th-century three-light casement on the ground floor and a single-light and a three-light casement above. A 20th-century plank door is located at the lower right. The interior has not been inspected.
