Description
The Sun is a house that now operates as an inn, dating from the late 17th century. It features a smooth rendered exterior with rusticated pilaster strips, a plinth, and a stone slate roof. The building has two and a half storeys, a cellar on the right, and an attic, with a four-windowed facade. Above, there are three gabled dormers, each with two-light casements, and on the ground floor, there is a large garage opening to the left, along with 19th-century shop fronts that include two 2-light and one 4-light windows with arched heads, thin pilasters, and fascias. To the right of the shop fronts is a three-panel door with a transom light, which features two arched heads that match the shop front details. A conical lead hopper-head with applied decoration adds to the building's character.
